About Us
Systems Technology, Inc. (STI), founded in 1957, is a research and development firm specializing in systems analysis, including vehicle dynamics and control and related human/machine interaction and human factors. Over the years, our experience has included research in multiple areas of expertise, and resulted in major contributions in the analysis and simulation of vehicle dynamics, automatic and manual control theory, human factors, machine interaction, and aircraft and ground vehicle safety. In addition, we have accomplished several hundred research and development programs in vehicle dynamics (air, space, ground, and sea), manual and automatic vehicular guidance and control systems, handling and flying qualities, control and stability theory, human operator dynamics, human subsystem dynamics, operator impairment, and associated topics.
STISIM Drive™, a fully interactive, PC-based driving simulator with unlimited customization potential, is ideal for a wide range of research and development applications concerning the driver, the vehicle, and the environment (road, traffic, pedestrians, visibility, etc.), drugs & pharmaceutical assessment and novice and professional driver training applications. STI has been developing and applying driving simulation for over four decades as shown below:
Throughout this period we have developed a range of features for designing driving scenarios and performance measures to investigate driver behavior under a wide range of conditions including drug and alcohol impairment, different vehicle characteristics and effects of environmental variables such as visibility (fog, night). Our objective in developing STISIM has been to maximize the flexibility and adaptability of the software, to simplify the creation of driving scenarios and to allow for a wide range of hardware options. Some hardware configuration examples are shown below:
