Overview
Simulation is ideal for a wide range of research and development applications concerning the driver, the vehicle, and the environment (road, traffic, pedestrians, visibility, etc.). STI has been developing and applying driving simulation for over four decades. Throughout this period we have developed a range of features for designing driving scenarios and performance measures to investigate driver behavior under a wide range of conditions including drug and alcohol impairment, different vehicle characteristics and effects of environmental variables such as visibility (fog, night). Our objective in developing STISIM Drive® has been to maximize the flexibility and adaptability of the software, to simplify the creation of driving scenarios and to allow for a wide range of hardware options. Driving Simulation
Over the years STISIM Drive® has been applied to a variety of R&D applications involving a wide range of software and hardware configurations.
